05116579 The valve seat is a specific part for waterjet cutting pumps to help control the water flow and maintain the high pressure required for cutting. Seats are typically made of hard, wear-resistant materials such as ceramic or tungsten carbide, designed to withstand the high pressures and temperatures involved in waterjet cutting.

The valve seat is located in the high-pressure waterway, and works with the plunger and the check valve to regulate the flow of water. As the plunger moves forward, it pressurizes the water and forces it past the valve seat and into the cutting nozzle. When the plunger moves back, the valve seat and check valve work together to prevent water from flowing back out of the pump.

Over time, valve seats can become worn or damaged by high pressure water flow and abrasive particles in the water. This can lead to leaks, reduced pressure and reduced cutting performance. When this happens, the seat may need to be replaced.
